Program

The program of the plugfest on the 28th of November 2017 was as following:

8:30 Door Opening and Morning Coffee

9:00 – 10:00 Device and Network Setup

10:00 – 13:00 Default Profile Testing

13:00 – 14:00 Lunch Break (Lunch is sponsored by NetTimeLogic GmbH)

14:00 – 16:00 Other Profiles (Power, Utility, Enterprise etc.) and PTP combined with Redundancy (Depending on Attendees capabilities)

16:00 – 17:00 Free testing

17:00 Tear Down and End of Plugfest 

Location

The plugfest was hold at the Institute of Embedded Systems (InES) of the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) in Wintherthur, Switzerland which is located in the old town of Winterthur:

Note: Please use the car park "ZHAW" and not the car park "Technikum". For the car park "ZHAW" we can offer free parking.

What to bring

  • Your PTP devices
  • Short Ethernet cables if you want to test on your local desk
  • RF connectors/converters if you don't have a direct BNC connector
  • A portable oscilloscope if possible
  • An Ethernet switch with PTP support if you want to test on your local desk
  • Power adapters if you don't have a swiss power connector
  • Your GPS antenna if you require GPS
  • Long (20m+) GPS antenna cables if you require GPS
  • A PPS output with 3.3V logic high level, strong enough to drive a 6m 50Ohm coax cable with 22Ohm serial termination
  • Enough SFPs and optical cabling (also for the counterpart) if you want to use optical network intefaces, whenever possible use cooper network connections
  • Power strips
